Wizz To Restart Wroclaw
Wizz Air is to resume flights to the
Polish city of Wroclaw from
Doncaster. The route was previously
served until Summer 2009 with an
aircraft from the airlines Poznan
base. However airport charges at
Wroclaw have been lowered which has
enabled Wizz to set up an aircraft
base.
The twice weekly Wroclaw flights
will take off on March 19 2010,
complimenting existing services to
four other Polish cities; Gdansk,
Katowice, Poznan and Warsaw already
served from Doncaster.
Chris Harcombe, aviation development
manager at the airport, said: "This
is a welcome boost for the airport
and we are delighted that Wizz Air
have further strengthened their
relationship with us by
re-introducing flights to Wroclaw.
"We are continuing to work with Wizz
and our other operators to develop
our relationship and look at ways to
offer more routes and extra flights
to attract passengers to Doncaster."
