Why is the airport called Robin Hood Airport?
It is designed to make greater use of world-famous characters
from our rich history to promote the area to international
travellers and businesses. For example other world airports
use names associated with their history, for example Ronald
Reagan (Washington), Charles de Gaulle (Paris), John F
Kennedy (New York) and Leonardo da Vinci (Rome).

Hangar 3 is used by Directions Finningly Aviation Academy
